Our wood

Maple

Maple is a classic hardwood, ranging in color from a light cream to a rich amber. As maple ages, it tends to warm and deepen in color, developing a honeyed or light amber hue. Its natural shine can be enhanced with a simple oil finish. Maple boasts a fine and even texture, offering a smooth and polished feel. Maple takes stains and finishes beautifully.

Oak

One of the strongest hardwoods, oak typically ranges in color from light honey to a deep reddish brown, with some variations of yellow, amber, and even greenish hues. Oak has a straight or slightly wavy grain pattern and a medium to coarse texture, with noticeable pores. Brushing or distressing the wood can bring out the texture even more.

Hickory

Denser and stiffer than oak or hard maple, hickory is a hardwood native to North America. Its color ranges in color from light brown to reddish brown, with darker streaks and flecks. The grain is typically straight and open, giving it a rustic and charming appearance. Hickory can be stained and finished to achieve a variety of looks, but its natural beauty is often preferred.

Birch

Birch is a strong, durable, creamy white wood that tends to develop a mellow golden honey color as it ages. With a straight or slightly wavy pattern, birch boasts a smooth and polished feel. Birch readily accepts stains and finishes—enhance its natural light tones or experiment with darker stains for a more dramatic effect.
